I am extremely lucky and privileged to be able to take a year off to redefine myself as a professional and pursue a goal of mine to research the subject of engineering happiness and ideally write a book on the subject.

I work with a team of very talented software developers and data scientists to help solve hard problems like detecting zero day exploits and anomalous behaviors in your log files or analyzing IoT time series to predict equipment failures days ahead of time.I lead a small team of developers on the SparkPredict team. My leadership style is one of servitude with the strong belief that the team is smarter and more knowledgeable than I am.

As a backend developer, I was responsible for analyzing requirements and building a brand new web API in Haskell.

Working on the SRM (Social Relationship Management) product on the Listen team, I contribute to features that expose intelligence on data gathered on the Internet from various social sources.Some of my current responsibilities include:- Integration between Listen and other products, including single sign on- design and careful planning of big refactoring efforts and features involving multiple products and teams.

I co-founded and acted as director to get Monkey Square off the ground and financed. Also co-organized Monospace 2011 (now named Monkey Space), a conference for .Net open source enthusiasts centered around Mono.Monkey Square was founded shortly after the conference, which was a big success. Even though I'm not a director anymore, due to time constraints, I'm still in charge of the application for 501(c)(3) status.
