In the past four years here at Alfred State, I have been working with different routers, switches, and firewalls. I’ve learned how to set them up and configure them to my professors’ liking. I’ve also worked with Active Directory in a virtual machine setting which allowed me to set different group policies and add users to the domain. Moreover, I have learned how to use the Linux operating system along with all of the Linux commands especially in terminal. Additionally, I have learned to use tools such as Cisco Packet Tracer, Nmap, Wireshark, Putty, SQL, Visual Studio, VMware workstation, VirtualBox and Hash Calculator. I have experience in HTML as well as computer programming.My position in ACES taught me how to become a better employee and how to approach different workstations strategically. Being student manager developed my leadership skills by leading and teaching other student employees the health standards and procedures of our company. I also improved my communication skills by communicating to my peers how to properly use the register which decreased the time it took to take an order.
