•Assists in the development of the Hotel business plan and ensures the department has an overall understanding of its goals and objectives.•Handles the complete Housekeeping Department.•Computer literate and excellent command of spoken and written English. •Good Communication and Team building skills, analytical skills, also have exposure to laundry management in hospitality sector.•Co-ordinates room availability with the Front Office Manager and also provide the front office with a list of rooms ready for allotment to guests.• Co-ordinates room maintenance with the Chief Engineer.• Determine appropriate staffing levels for forecast business and schedules employees accordingly.• Develops and implements process for providing employees with customer service, technical and safety training on an ongoing basis.•Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement.•Monitors the response on guest comment cards; identifies problem areas and formulates solutions.•Ensures that we are within the Budget on monthly basis by having a very keen observation on day to day operations in order to control the Guest & Cleaning supplies.•Develops and implements. Processes, procedures and standards for assigned departments which support achievement of service and financial goals. •Prepares annual budget; monitors achievement of budget and takes corrective steps as appropriate.•Inspects rooms (VIP), public areas and back-of-house areas continually and also does surprise audits as well.•Manages operation of in/out sourced relationship with the laundry.•Monitors assigned departments with compliance to the safety standards.•Oversees inventory, purchasing, disbursement and cost control for all linens, cleaning supplies, guest room and restroom supplies, laundry supplies etc.•Manages the operation of the housekeeping, public space and laundry areas. Ensures that the rooms and public areas are spotless and continually restocked and straightened.
