I have a 40 year I history of community service and entrepreneurial-ism in the health care industry, starting with graduating from nursing and starting a career in home health. I founded a non-profit Medicare certified home health agency in 1980, added on private duty services and staffing, and expanded into hospice in 1992. Eventually, we became the largest agency in Arkansas. Life circumstances changed. I retired and worked with my husband in our own medical equipment company growing it to 5 stores. In 1998, I returned to the original hospice program to help divest it from the for-profit hospital. Within 5 years, we were able to fund and build the area's premier non-profit hospice home raising $5 million dollars with annual revenue of $10 million.I retired to assume care of my Mother and during that four years, founded Olive Loom. Our business model is based on working with a network of women who cannot hold traditional jobs. We design and produce our own apparel and sustainable accessorizes. Our products are produced on high quality industrial equipment and sergers with guidance from experienced pattern makers, sewing instructors and operations manager.
