Plan strategic messaging, communication, and narratives for key leaders and the overall institution in order to inform enablers, members, and the American public.

Provide Subject Matter Expertise on the planning and execution of Civil-Military Operations (CMO). Provide education and training on CMO and Civil Affairs core tasks in order to support MAGTF Operations and Security Cooperation objectives. Served as the director of the Marine Corps CMO school from 2013-2015.

Provide subject matter expertise on regional planning and cultural interaction with foreign audiences to senior government leadership. Specialize in East Asia. Lived in South Korea for 18 months. Attended War College with Korean Marines. Traveled to China, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore. Maintain contacts abroad in conjunction with duties. Korean and French speaker with basic Arabic, Croatian, and Italian ability.

Served as Operations Officer (OPSO), Aircraft Maintenance Officer (AMO), Executive Officer (XO), and Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) pilot in peacetime and in war as a member of the Aviation Combat Element. 4 MEU (SOC) deployments and 2 OEF deployments to Afghanistan.

Attended the Marine Corps Basic Officer Course, developing leadership fundamentals, critical thinking skills, and the tactics of ground warfare. Upon graduation, attended aviation PreFlight Indoctrination learning aerodynamics, weather patterns, fuel management, navigation, and survival skills.

Second in command; responsible for the 3,500 Marines and sailors of the Marine Aircraft Group. Facilitate the successful operations of 10 subordinate squadrons including over 150 attack, utility, and assault support aircraft. Serve as security manager, insider threat program manager, and force preservation chair.

Second in Command, responsible for the 2,400 Marines and sailors of the Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU). Synthesize the staff members consisting of personnel, intelligence, operations, logistics, and communications sections, as well as the major subordinate elements of ground, aviation, and logistics combat elements. Integrate Marine forces with Naval forces and other national assets. Serve as the Forward Command Element, representing the Commander to foreign nation militaries and other United States entities in crisis situations throughout the globe.

Responsible for the health, morale, and welfare of the squad and the tactical employment of two machine gun teams and their weapons.
