Louroz is the Executive Director of the Yonge + St Clair Business Improvement Area. He is responsible for implementing the Business Improvement Area (BIA)'s strategic plan, leading the proposed streetscape projects, and managing several key economic development projects for the district.He is an experienced city builder and communications professional with a progressive career in the public and not-for-profit sectors. He was the Manager of Communications and Public Engagement at Waterfront Toronto and responsible for Sidewalk Toronto - a joint effort by Waterfront Toronto and Alphabet’s Sidewalk Labs to create a new kind of mixed-use, complete community on Toronto’s Eastern Waterfront.Previously a Career Counsellor / Job Developer at Youth Employment Services (YES), he developed new partnerships with employers across the Toronto Region to create placement opportunities and work experiences for youth. Prior to this, he led a significant youth jobs initiative and mentorship at Civic Action. He was the Founder and Executive Director of the Mississauga Youth Games (MY Games) and currently serves as Chair of Proud Politics – a national organization working to increase the number of LGBT leaders in public office and on public boards, commissions, and agencies. As an active member of his community, he is a co-founder of RISE Tribe, a Filipino youth mentorship program. Louroz previously served on the board of directors of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Safe City Mississauga, Canadian National Exhibition, GO Transit Customer Service, and the United Way of Peel Region. Louroz is a proud recipient of the Ontario Medal for Young Volunteers awarded by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, the 2009 Diverse City Fellowship, and is a Global Shaper with the World Economic Forum.
