Mila is a dedicated educator with over 10 years of experience in teaching English literature, ELL, Spanish, and Portuguese. With a major in English and advanced specialization in inclusive education and Level B assessment, Mila possesses a strong educational background. Her expertise extends to teaching grades K through 3 and 10 through 12, and she currently serves as a HS Learning Assistance and Resource Teacher (LART) at School District 73 in the Kamloops-Thompson Nicola Region.Mila is well-versed in modern pedagogical approaches such as UDL and SEL, Project-based learning principles and BC first nations curriculum guidelines. She demonstrates cultural awareness, compassion, and understanding in her teaching.
