Turners and Growers is a global fresh produce New Zealand company, specializing in exporting applesLogistics and Quality Control Manager (Nov 2012 to March 2019)Managing orders for major supermarkets including Aldi. Sourcing produce from 5 service providers nationally and arranging transport of product to 4 states.  Developed and analyzed quality control processes and deliverables to determine present standards and establish recommended action plans. Collected and analyzed blueberries samples to evaluate quality, providing feedback and interpretation to production management or staff. Verified stock levels through audit inspections and independent checks. Assisting with the preparation of client contracts and invoices. Liaising with 4 major transport companies and 5 service providers to ensure timely delivery to clients.Quality Control Checking all produce to ensure high standards of quality upon arrival into Australia and prior to shipping. Working with surveyors to assess poor quality produce, lodging insurance claims as required.

As Manager of the busy Delica Head Office in Auckland, my role was to oversee the ordering and distribution of all stock, and to maintain effective stakeholder relationships. My key accountabilities included: Completing all export documentation including client invoices, and keeping records.  Maintaining an inventory of fresh produce and balancing stock on a daily basis. Liaising with service providers, growers, warehouse staff and importers. Visiting growers seasonally to conduct needs analysis and build rapport. Assisting with quality assurance as required. Performing a range of clerical duties, including processing insurance claims and assisting employees with HR issues.During my time as Office Manager, I coordinated the successful delivery of approximately 80 pallets of produce each week. Strong attention to detail was essential in this role, and I made a point of triple-checking all orders to ensure accuracy.My performance was recognised by senior management, who recommended me for a transfer to Delica’s Brisbane office when I relocated from New Zealand to Australia in 2012.

NYK Line ships food, electrical appliances and many other bulk freight items, and has offices across Asia, Europe, Africa and Oceania. As an Imports Officer I was solely responsible for handling the end-to-end process for all ocean imports into New Zealand. My key accountabilities included: Downloading manifests and container lists, submitting information to ports and completing Electronic Data Interchanges (EDI). Completing manifests, arrival notices and releases for roll-on/roll-off (RORO) vessels. Receipting payments from clients and authorising the release of containers. Liaising with load ports, transshipment ports and wharf staff. Reporting monthly to management on key performance indicators. Lodging insurance claims and liaising with insurance representatives.In this role I applied my organisational skills to manage a high volume of work. NYK Line had three very large clients who could import half a ship’s worth of stock in a single trip. I was meticulous in checking all orders against documentation and responding quickly to any errors.I also demonstrated my ability to provide high-level customer service and prioritise tasks. I acknowledged all email enquiries within 30 minutes.
