Heavily collaborated with all the business stakeholders along with our CIO. My data governance organization consisted of 35 people across the enterprise. Chair of the Data Governance Council.Responsible for implementation and management of our Enterprise Data Governance, Data Quality Management, and Metadata Management programs. Promoted data literacy and ethics while educating the enterprise on the purpose, value, and use of the data outside of its usual operational use.From the ground up I built and oversaw the Data Quality team. The team has five full-time people and two consultants. Built our team of data stewards who heavily collaborates with our Data Quality team. I lead the data stewards in the identification of terms used for reporting and analytics. The terms and their definitions make up our Common Business Language. Lead a team to automate consolidation of data dictionaries and Common Business Language; automation of our Data Quality Program metrics; integration of data quality metrics with Metadata, Data Dictionary and Common Business Language all loosely based on a Subject Area Model which were used in a new version of our Enterprise Data Warehouse. I guided the Data Management Services team to modernize and expand our Enterprise Data Warehouse leveraging our Common Business Language. Deployed Tableau Desktop and Alteryx Designer along with its ML and Predictive Tools Suite including R/Python to our data scientists, data analysts, and data stewards. The preceding is supported by Alteryx Server and Tableau Server providing foundational pieces for our data and analytic strategies.At the state level, I represent the agency on the Texas Data Management Council where I also serve as the Co-Chair. -
