Partner with Sales and Operations teams to accommodate MPS changes, reducing the risk of missing SO’s ship dates, resulting in better sales forecasting and improving the Build Plan. • Responsible for bridging the gap between demand and supply. Facilitate weekly MPS meetings to review demand requirements in fast paced rapidly changing environment. Maintain forecast accuracy metrics. Present product status updates and schedule vs performance analysis to Operations executive management team.• Manage direct materials planning – translate Master Build Plan into MRP, validate and fix MRP issues. Review MRP output with Purchasing weekly, identify potential shortages and initiate problem-resolution actions for material issues impacting the production schedule.• Maintain all product planning data in Oracle MRP. Recommend buy requirements such as direct materials, quantities, date needed to Purchasing. Provide 12 month rolling forecast for DMs to suppliers. • Partner with engineering and NPI personnel to forecast and plan demand for new products, and assess excess to insure optimal balance.• Monitor inventory levels to effectively balance orders and forecast (including purchased parts and FGs), increase inventory turns.• Advise Oracle design teams and suggest refined business rules to eliminate the use of spreadsheets for planning purposes. Support Oracle implementation and integrate master scheduling processes.
