Junior Estimator
CurrentAs a Junior Estimator, utilize architect, structural, civil, and landscape CAD drawings to create an accurate to-scale 3D representation of construction jobs. Analyze data lines to forecast cubic yardage of all the material being removed from the site, including excavation or fill requirements needed to bring the site projects to finish grade and/or top of footing. Evaluate crucial details associated with new buildings, such as retaining walls, slabs, vaults, and utilities. Interpret and communicate all construction details associated with large-scale projects and residential projects.Import drawings from project plans into AGTEK using Bluebeam or Adobe. Extract data lines and details from imported drawings to forecast required resources for project completion. Calculate and communicate the amount of labor, time, and overall cost associated with completing the specific project to project managers and sub-contractors. Assist in creating high-level bid packages for both private companies and federal entities. Inspect geotechnical reports to ensure that on-site materials are able to be used in cost-effective ways. Prepare and design 3-dimensional and elevation models using topography plans, layouts, and drainage plans. Translate material calculations into custom bid packages in a fast-paced environment to ensure project milestones and timelines were met. These bid packages are submitted to various stakeholders.Bid packages are also created based on direct surveys on construction takeoff and backfill. Functioned as a primary point of contact and liaison for clients, project managers, and operating teams. This often includes resolving issues in ways beneficial to all stakeholders and ensuring all estimates are accurate and cost-efficient. Maintain constant and adaptive communication with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors.
