I have more than 25 years of corporate experience at Protasco Berhad, a public-listed company in Malaysia. I joined the organization in 1997 and was promoted more than ten times, culminating in my role as Chief Operating Officer before leaving in 2021. With my diverse portfolio, I have gained profound insights into the contemporary challenges faced by organizations that aspire to achieve better and faster results.Throughout my career at Protasco, I held numerous executive positions and developed a strategic business framework aligned with the organization’s goals. In 2012, I led the establishment of the organization’s vision, mission, and core values alongside the strategic team. In 2020, I was appointed Chief Strategist and worked with my task force to identify critical success factors, including inculcating a knowledge culture, developing talent competency, and embedding core values into work practices and processes.My accomplishments at Protasco are numerous and include winning the Brand of the Year award (local category), saving more than RM30 million through cost optimization initiatives, initiating and leading digital transformation, earning millions in profits in the first year for a start-up, and developing a performance management framework.My experience has given me a well-rounded perspective on business development and solid insights gained from my work in the region, including my time working in China from 2008 to 2012 and my travel across Asian countries as an International Business Director from 2013 to 2016.
