Responsibilities include managing all environmental reports and permits with timely delivery, navigating complex energy projects, reviewing environmental impact assessments (EIA), DDs, fuel and drainage plans etc., evaluating environmental impact of all new processes and technologies introduced to site, piloting roll out of EMS for APAC, training, formulating SOPs and information for staff, carbon and emission tracking, and managing incidents on site. This is done through building a collaborative relationships with cross functional teams, including real estate, engineering design, construction, legal and operational teams. During my stint with AWS, I had the opportunity to set up an environmental framework with team of 15 to run sustainability projects for sites. I also support other APAC regions like Japan, Indonesia and Malaysia at different stages of development from real estate DD to authority compliance reporting. Lastly, I had the privilege to pick up basic SQL, using that to navigate business analytic tools like Quicksight and Tableau. From which I was able to contribute, extract and analyze local emission data, increase efficiency by developing and automating environmental training data into live dashboard for global management KPI tracking, automate tracking of long lead equipment arrival by tying in with program manager tool, provide dashboard training for the team globally and develop global dashboard template for construction inspection progress and monitoring.
