As Community Service Co-Chair for GAPABA, I leverage my experience working with nonprofits to drive impactful service initiatives. I coordinate and lead community service projects, such as a recent effort where I organized volunteers to prepare Chinese comfort meals for over 60 individuals at the Ronald McDonald House. Additionally, I collaborate with partner organizations to offer CLE programs focused on community and public service, helping GAPABA members stay engaged with meaningful causes. Through these efforts, I aim to strengthen GAPABA’s commitment to giving back and making a positive impact in the community.

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) - Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders CenterAs a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald Family Room, I provided support to families whose children were receiving treatment at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. My role involved creating a welcoming and comforting environment where families could take a break from the hospital setting while remaining close to their children. I assisted with a variety of tasks, including maintaining the facility, providing meals and snacks, and offering emotional support to parents and caregivers during difficult times.Through this role, I gained insight into the challenges faced by families navigating pediatric healthcare and developed skills in empathy, communication, and compassionate care. The Ronald McDonald Family Room is part of Ronald McDonald House Charities, a global organization dedicated to supporting families of critically ill children by offering resources, comfort, and a sense of community during extended hospital stays.
