I am a values-driven leader who's dedicated to serving community, entrepreneurship, and social equity. Serving as a two term Kelowna City Councillor, Entrepreneur, and Community Advocate, my mission is to fuse a social heart with a business mind – so no one is left behind. First elected to Kelowna City Council in 2018 and again in 2022, I believe deeply in the power of community, building equity, and amplifying underrepresented voices. As the founder of Loyal Hair, in Kelowna at the age of 21, I built an organization with the main pillar that giving back is essential for collective prosperity and success. Through business, we continually strived to empower people to recognize their full potential, embodying the principle that "giving goes full circle."I'm fortunate to serve as chair of two boards: the Regional District of Central Okanagan and Okanagan Regional Library to modernize policy development, foster relationships with Indigenous peoples and respond to emerging challenges. My passion is fueled by realizing positive steps forward to address social challenges like homelessness, mental health addictions, and housing, while also empowering economic resiliency in the entrepreneur capital of Canada.Part of my commitment includes volunteer work, as dedication to community service. To honour my late mother, my sister and I founded a legacy foundation in her name to fund various community organizations supporting youth programs, healthcare, animals, women's initiatives and housing for vulnerable populations. In addition, I volunteer as a professional speaker hosting events like an Evening with Gabor Mate, SPCA FurBall and HOPE Okanagan Galas. It's my mission to embody the principles to build community, foster entrepreneurship, and empower social responsibility, to build a brighter future for the Okanagan region and beyond.
