Executive leadership through the eventual acquisition by Nextgen Healthcare. Led Mirth professional services, training and support for Mirth in its early pursuit to become the leader in interoperability and HIE solutions. Helped to guide sustained growth over a long period and oversaw the development of new methodologies and workflow that helped to facilitate our ability to absorb this growth.

Led the implementation and integration aspects of the Openvista Open Source Electronic Health Record (Veterans Administration - VA Vista). The group helped to create complex multi-system environments that met our client's integration needs using Mirth software and extended Openvista to replace paper in numerous facilities. Project teams included the capabilities to implement a comprehensive solution with the replacement of all clinical and financial systems (Admissions, Medical Records, Laboratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Nursing) with the frequent addition of Physician Order Entry. Technology liaison during the sales process and assisted the sales team with any communications with prospects.

Clinical program director for the replacement of all clinical and financial systems (26) with McKesson and the addition and upgrade of several other systems (New Horizon Project). Total cost for this project was approximately $30 million.Liaison with hospital physicians and chief champion with this community for the "New Horizon" project. Responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships between the physician group and the New Horizon project team.Led implementations and support of clinical systems for a 344 bed inpatient facility with team duties including the documentation of clinical process and workflow; software implementation; and upgrades for all clinical systems. Oversight for a $1 million dollar operating budget and approximately $2 million in capital.Led the Clinical Device Committee. This group consisted of hospital senior managers assigned to review clinical devices, in use and planned, throughout the organization. Team established organizational standards for vendor and device selection.

Assisted in the infrastructure design and provided technical guidance during implementation of the Medpoint Bar Code Point of Care System.Provided technical guidance and assisted in the design of various technologies; including Windows Clustering and Operating Systems, Hardware, SQL Sever, Wireless Networks, and Bar Code Technology.Facilitated the integration with other software systems; including complex multi-facility systems dispersed over a large geographic area.

Managed support and implementation services with responsibilities including the server/network infrastructure and a 24*7 customer support center.Development and implementation of a company reorganization plan that helped to substantially improve support for the organization and improved our ability to implement the software more efficiently.Designed and then created a quote generation system that increased our ability to capture additional revenue.

Led an IT department for a major regional hospital; responsibilities included implementation and maintenance of all hospital servers, network, and integration (HL7).Negotiated the contract and then led the project to replace the network infrastructure and all related network equipment with a Cisco Network.Formed an Intranet Committee and then assisted in the development of the initial inter/intranet development strategy. Hired and managed the necessary resources to implement that strategy
