Hi there! Thanks for visiting my LinkedIn profile.I’m an educator, entrepreneur, and design-thinking trainer who is passionate about helping all sorts of people innovate and live lives of meaning. I work with CEOs and top executives at billion-dollar companies (e.g., LG, DNB, Samsung, Wilhelmsen, Telenor), founders of fast-growing startups, government officials, and bright students from all over the world. Regardless of whom I train, my mission is always the same: to help humans develop their creative confidence so they can lead more meaningful and compassionate lives.I'm the founder of Die Before You Die where we help people design lives of meaning, and Pracademy, an innovation-training firm based in Norway with clients in dozens of countries. I'm also Asst. Professor II of Innovation at the Norwegian University of Science & Technology, where I was awarded the Best Professor of the Year Prize. I also teach in various courses at the Norwegian School of Economics and the University of Bergen, and am the co-founder of the Lab for Design Thinkers at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, where I was also named Best Teacher of the Year. Further, my colleagues at Design Region Bergen and I launched the first design-thinking executive-education program in Norway.I earned my MBA at Stanford where I was awarded the Stanford Social Innovation Fellowship, which served as seed funding for Puentes Global, a social enterprise I co-founded in Madrid. Puentes offers entrepreneurial-training services for immigrants. I was also one of the first hires at d.light, one of the world's fastest-growing social enterprises, which is based in India and was spun out of the Stanford d.school.I'm passionate about mindfulness and continue to learn about this millennial contemplative practice. When not at workshops, talks, or mindfulness sessions, I'm probably drooling over my daughter or training for triathlons.
