I am a Malawian lawyer with keen interest in international trade law and competition policy. I have a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree obtained from the University of Malawi, a Master of Laws degree in Law and Development from the University of London and a Master of Laws degree in International Trade Law from the University of Cape Town. I also have a postgraduate certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law, and a postgraduate diploma in Public International Law, both obtained from the University of London. I am a beneficiary of the Canon Collins scholarship and an alumnus of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for young African leaders.I currently work as a Young Professional in the Intellectual Property, Government Procurement and Competition Division of the World Trade Organization, where I focus on competition policy and government procurement. Prior to this, I worked as a Senior Associate at Ritz Attorneys at Law, a commercial law firm in Malawi, where I obtained over five years' experience in legal practice. I also served as a lecturer in law at the Catholic University of Malawi. I take great interest in legal research and I have immense passion for sustainable and inclusive international development.
