As a Facilitator for this program, I assessed clients' eligibility and suitability for the program, using the ACEC method, and made appropriate referrals for the clients' best outcomes. I facilitated pre-employment workshops and coached clients for their best next steps in their short and long-term employment-finding process. I am passionate about this goal and consistently gave value-added information to clients, empowering them to achieve their employment goals in Ontario or throughout the country, whichever they decide is best, according to labour market demands and personal needs.

As an employment Settlement Specialist I worked one on one with Newcomers who benefited from more individual assistance with resume and cover letter development in the Canadian style, as well as creating referrals to appropriate services and programs as part of their next steps in job searching. Career Exploration, Information Interviews, networking through Social Media and targeting documents appropriately are also included in services offered.

This was a short-term contract for presentation of engaging pre-employment workshops and assessing and coaching clients according to program requirements to assist them in achieving their employment goals according to sector.

This project included researching existing services, agencies and community groups, and possibly implementing (upon funding approval) increased delivery of services as a community project, serving Newcomers to the remote areas of the regions mentioned. This project incorporated a marketing piece as well as the groundwork and liaison aspects required to build community connections to improve services to new and existing clients.
