I'm a data-driven UX/UI designer and digital marketer with extensive experience in designing e-commerce websites that convert more sales. I've helped dozens of companies improve their sites' conversion rates and increase their revenue by millions of dollars, including Hydro Flask, Peak Design, Omigo, Limitless Walls, Crossrope, Feetures, and many more. My work is driven by three main tenets:1. All design work should first start with data. This means I design with intention, experience, and research behind every choice, whether I'm redesigning a shopping cart or simplifying a form.2. A website should look beautiful and work beautifully. Design and functionality should always work together to deliver a smooth, simple, highly useable experience: in other words, 2 + 2 should always equal 5.3. I don't know everything! Nothing should be designed in a vacuum or without input. Listening, researching, being wrong, and working together with smart people all create a better website.I live in Raleigh, NC, where I spend my free time walking foster dogs (3 so far), doing yoga, planning trips, cooking, and gardening. I have yet to find a baking competition show or cop drama I don't love, and I'm always on the lookout for a good podcast recommendation.In 2014-2015, I spent a year and a half in Hanoi, Vietnam, where I wrote about and shot Vietnamese food for The Kitchn and inflicted English language skills upon teenagers from around the world at an international high school.Through my photography and videography, I've gotten to feel like a rock star in the small fish sauce-making village of Sa Chau, Vietnam; hung a camera from a crop duster and smushed countless young corn plants in America's breadbasket; climbed and hung by a prusik forty feet above ground in the mountains of North Carolina; and shot in 12 US states and eight countries.I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill, where I studied journalism and mass communication, U.S. history, and Arabic (go Heels!).
