I am a Registered Dietitian with a passion for both exceptional patient care and provision of high-quality educational resources to all levels of healthcare professionals. As an established clinical dietitian I advocate for early enteral nutrition, safe parenteral nutrition, and adequate oral intake to support metabolic derangements associated with critical illness. I am a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician with experience in intensive care units, as well as both medical and surgical floors. To achieve the best nutrition results, I understand the need for solid nutrition protocols and best-care nutrition practices and have worked on numerous projects to achieve this. Beyond patient care, I am eager to spread nutrition knowledge to consumers and fellow healthcare workers. I have been invited to speak on nutrition topics at hospital grand rounds, Virginia Chapter of American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, Wild Week of Webinars by Dietitians on Demand, and VCU School of Medicine. My extensive work with dietetic interns, aspiring physicians, and undergraduate students has helped to shape the next generation. Outside of the clinical setting, I utilize high impact communication to write blogs, build continuing education webinars, and design infographics for larger audiences.
