I won't use open-source tested libraries only if performance matters (honestly, homemade things tend to be bad, really bad).I don't like working without coding standards. I don't like working where I have to use my horizontal scroll bar, or where variables are named "a", "b", "number1", and variations.I don't like working where documentation is missing.I don't like working where tests are missing.I prefer ORMs that implements the JPA standard. I don't like native SQL when they're not necessary (almost always).I don't like working with classes over 500 lines, unless there is some kind of motivation. FFS, keep the numbers down please, files are free of charge.Ah, I prefer using Git, which is industry standard nowdays. If you want me to use some other VCS you need to explain why.And I like having the freedom to choose my IDE (unless you're developing an RTC application, an IntelliJ plugin or over the NetBeans platform). This should be the default for every developer in your company. Someone likes Eclipse, someone else IntelliJ, someone else NetBeans. I prefer IntelliJ.All of that doesn't mean I can't work with you, I just need the space to handle things the way they should be handled.I totally love algorithms! Just in case ;)
