Lisa Roullier is a Library Programme Officer at London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. She possess expertise in information management, local government, event planning, live events, event management and 10 more skills. Lisa combines the regular duties of a Team Member in libraries with coordinating flagship events at Dagenham Library. She is very much one of the reasons that Dagenham Library has been shortlisted for the British Book Industry Awards - Library of the Year 2016. Lisa has worked tirelessly organising events such as 'Big Bang' Saturday, which proved to be a roaring success during ReadFest 2014 and a second successful event in 2015. Lisa was instrumental in attracting Dave Prowse aka Dath Vader, a working Dalek and Stormtoopers to the Comicon event ensuring it was a massive success, raising money for the Mayor's Charity and importantly raising the profile of the Library Service and borough in an innovative way with minimal expense. Lisa has also founded the ‘Handmade in Dagenham’ craft event held at Dagenham Library, again raising money for the Mayors Charity but principally aiming to give local people the opportunity and inspiration to create and sell their own products, encouraging entrepreneurs in the borough. Lisa has given up a lot of her own time to promote and organise the traders. Lisa is also an instrumental part of the Library team that brings about Barking and Dagenham's Got Talent, yet another value for money community event promoting the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. Lisa consistently delivers, willing to support and encourage colleagues and will go the 'extra mile' to help them and customers to achieve their goals. Lisa was also one of the first Team Members to train as a Community Champion. Lisa has superb interpersonal skills, is an excellent communicator; if you need a job done she is the person to approach she does all this with an enthusiasm that is impossible to fault. Lisa is a valued member of library staff although she works part-time she is so productive she is more than equivalent to a full-time member of staff! Lisa's straight forward, no nonsense approach is a credit to the Library Service and the Council. In 2015 she was nominated and deservedly shortlisted for the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Employee of the Year Award. "
