Arborholic, LLC is a small company that provides consulting arborist services. I specialize in providing arboricultural education and services such as tree inventories, tree management plans, and urban forestry program reviews for small communities and colleges. I also provide individual education and consultations and landscape inspections for homeowners. I currently have a contract with the City of Austin to provide the Austin area Certified Arborist exam Prep class and a series of Tree Maintenance Trainings for city employees, in addition to coordinating outreach events about the City of Austin Tree Ordinance for Trades professionals and homeowners.My mission is to help trees and the people who care for them.Past projects include: working with Wells Branch MUD to Conduct 100% tree inventory of publicly owned land in Wells Branch, assessing condition of trees and recommending necessary maintenance. Prepared a searchable map of all trees within the park, and used the data gathered to recommend potential tree planting locations and species of trees to be planted. Assist Keep Wells Branch Beautiful in preparing a lecture and volunteer series aimed at developing a Tree Stewards program. Advise Parks Maintenance Supervisor on needed training regarding proper pruning procedures, correct method of excavation around trees, and ideal planting.

Using my contacts, I quickly located 4 more vendors and prepared a vendor application and agreement and we opened on schedule. Throughout the rest of the season, I successfully recruited 10 more vendors and was able to promote the works of the Children's Center while providing affordable, healthy produce to local citizens.

This job required me to keep local attorneys on task and sometimes initiate the firing of non-performing counsel. I became the "go to" employee to deal with attorneys who were not resolving cases within the accepted FNMA timelines; if I could not correct their performance issues, they were dismissed as local counsel. During my tenure, the company was acquired by First Union, which already had a similar department, but our department had better performance measures so they asked us to write an employee handbook. I was asked to serve on the committee because my performance measures were consistently top of the ranks.

Served as volunteer crew for several hot air balloon pilots. As a volunteer, I did the jobs as assigned including preparing the balloon for launch, chase crew, and packing the balloon away. It was a lot of fun and something I would do again. The skills necessary to be successful include quickly processing orders, working closely as a team, and close attention to safety.
