These early activities led to GE’s entry into, and research and business development in the sUAS and autonomy space. Served as the technical lead for runtime safety assurance research and engaged in crewed-uncrewed teaming and advanced air mobility (AAM) pursuits.– Invented an aircraft Digital-Twin technology that combines aerodynamics, engine performance, trajectory modeling, and data analytics to achieve tail-specific in-flight performance optimization beyond what a conventional Flight Management System (FMS) performance optimization can offer.

The methodology and the tool later became a foundational capability for CDA/OPD demonstration and implementation at many major airports in the U.S. as well as airports in Europe. Doctoral thesis documenting this capability and the UPS flight trail won a first-place thesis competition award.Also studied market and infrastructure implications of future air cargo in China. Co-authored a paper from the study that drew broad attention from media, worldwide industry and government agencies.
