Working as a Data Officer I mapped data flows across corporate systems through analysing data querying scripts in SQL and integrations. This role also involved collaborating with colleagues on data analysis projects such as identifying how data is utilised across the University, through hybrid and remote team working.

Stock acquisition and customer service were my primary responsibilities in this role. I worked closely with colleagues to order physical and electronic resources, catalogue resources using international standards to improve retrieval, and problem-solving access issues. To ensure our customers had the resources when they needed them it was imperative to have an attention to detail, time manage effectively and work under pressure. Due to my extensive knowledge of the stock acquisition process, I had an active role on the project team for migrating to a new Library Management System. Working closely with both colleagues and suppliers I focused on the configuration and workflows utilised within acquisition and resource list management. Following the integration, I developed guides for staff and ran training sessions for individuals and small groups on acquisition workflows. Additional roles I undertook included being an active member of the School Resources team. I collaborated with colleagues on acquisition decisions as well as took responsibility for promoting the collection through generating displays and signage. I also worked as part of a team to create publicity material and social media content to promote the library and its resources.

In my role as Centre Manager at Greyladyes Arts Foundation (The GAF Centre) I acted as a central point of contact for both volunteers and customers. In my role I took on active role as part of the management committee as well as the events team. I redeveloped the website and created a social media presence for the art centre to help increase the wider participation of the community. Other parts of my role included liaising with artists to organise exhibitions and workshops.

My role at GAF was varied, it includes general day to day administration tasks as well as maintaining the centres social media pages, publicity, arranging exhibitions and opening the centre etc.

In my role as Customer Service Assistant I provided one-to-one customer support at the Library as well as managing stock, delivering childrens activities and undertaking administrative tasks
