Current Responsibilities: • Lead software integration efforts across hardware, system software (kernel, uboot), digital signal processing (DSP), and cloud teams. • Partner with Software/Hardware Product Management and User Experience teams to deliver the premium experiences our customers have come to expect from Sonos. • Orchestrate all partner integration on Sonos devices: Alexa, Spotify, Google, Snips, etc. • Designing the next big Sonos thing!Past Accomplishments: • Lead Engineer on the Sonos due diligence team, leading to the acquisition of Snips.ai • Critical contributor to every Sonos hardware product releases since 2010: Dock, Play:3, Sub, Playbar, Play:1, Boost, Play:5 (gen2), Playbase, Sonos One, Sonos Beam, Sonos One SL, Sonos Move, etc. • Worked on many aspects of the software that runs on Sonos devices: audio data path, device grouping and audio synchronization, voice capture, networking, performance tuning, hardware UX interface, Dolby integration, TOSLINK/SPDIF parsing, distributed configuration, application bring up, kernel hacking. I've even had the opportunity to work on our controllers in the early days!

• Worked on the team that brought to market the DataPower XM70 Low Latency Network Appliance. Was responsible for: ◦ Non-blocking I/O integration (select/poll/epoll) of IBM WebSphere MQ LLM and TIBCO RV ◦ TIBCO RV request/reply implementation ◦ Debugging and improving performance and memory bottlenecks ◦ Contributed to a IBM Redbook and co-authored an IBM Developerworks article on the XM70• Enhanced the functionality of internal IPC mechanisms• Was the liaison to the IBM Linux Technology Center, responsible for the Linux kernel and other open source package integration and compliance
