I am a mission-driven communicator with a broad set of leadership, creative, and technical skills. An experienced writer, editor, and photographer, I think strategically and creatively to tell stories that earn recognition and market educational and justice-oriented organizations. A flexible and curious generalist, my strengths include leadership communications, crisis communications, strategic communications, case development for fundraising, and web development and analytics. I enjoy supporting and collaborating with senior leadership to advance the mission, manage change, and shape the culture of an organization through thoughtful, effective communication. I enjoy working with and supporting donors, volunteers, and boards to help philanthropists realize their goals and organizations reach their potential.For over a decade, I also freelanced as a photographer, working with schools, organizations, families, and high school seniors to capture milestones and create portraits that celebrate connections and tell stories.In my free time, I love being outdoors and exploring new places. In early 2021, I transformed a cargo van into a camper and hit the road with my golden retriever Zeke, exploring the USA over the course of several months and 15K miles. We visited 12 national parks and many other beautiful recreation areas and communities. It was restorative and transformative and deepened my interest in the policy and practice issues that shape our lives, social structures, communities, and the environment.
