Lauren holds her CPA license as of March 2016 and her CFE license as of December 2013.Lauren led a cross line of service strategic team that drives market differentiation and increased profitability for PwC through the Fraud, Corruption and Economic Crime integrated solution. Integrated solutions provide technology-enabled offerings and innovative delivery models, to guide and accelerate clients’ business and digital transformations. Lauren leads development of a distinctive, repeatable, and scalable playbook to drive commercialization of the Fraud, Corruption and Economic Crime integrated solution.Lauren has managed a a data analytics platform-driven anti-corruption compliance monitoring program for a large REIT client. The monitoring program included tests focused on high risk vendors, high risk sites, high risk transactions, transactions with high risk vendors and Government customers, transactions with trouble vendors, and compliance sensitive words and accounts. She consistently provided robust recommendations to regional and country Chief Compliance Officers to enhance their anti-corruption monitoring testing procedures. In order to do so, Lauren led calls to provide guidance, feedback, and observations to regional and country Chief Compliance Officers based on an analysis of their completed testing procedures. She also coordinated and drove weekly training sessions and monthly status calls structured around centralization and sustainment of the client’s anti-corruption monitoring program. Lauren also aided in the compilation of a change management guide for Data Analytics change requests, enhancements, and questions.

Mrs. Canto served as a dedicated team member on the Deepwater Horizon Economic & Property Damages Settlement. She has played a core role in helping achieve project goals of advising and administering the economic loss claims under the Settlement Program. Mrs. Canto was a critical resource for claim processing and upholding relationships with claimants and claimant’s attorneys / accountants. Mrs. Canto exemplified a thorough understanding of the Business Economic Loss (BEL) calculation. In addition, Mrs. Canto helped lead multiple specialty teams to analyze and review claims. Mrs. Canto drafted several end products to be used by the overall team, analyzed data received from claimants, and provided assumptions for outcomes identified.Additionally, Mrs. Canto assisted with several internal investigations to provide comprehensive accounting / regulatory compliance analyses resulting from whistleblower allegations and completed multiple anti-corruption compliance and due diligence assessments for clients in a variety of industries. In this capacity, she requested supporting documentation, conducted interviews, recomputed calculations performed by clients, conducted transaction testing, conducted benchmark analyses of methodologies used by clients to applicable standards, and compiled reports to display observations and recommendations. She used the Relativity tool to conduct email reviews.Mrs. Canto also aided in the distribution of a multi-million mass tort litigation fund under a charitable fund administered.Further, Mrs. Canto aided in an analysis, compilation and presentation of anti-corruption compliance remediation recommendations to the DOJ and SEC. This drove the key financial which was utilized to substantiate the client’s successful anti-corruption compliance efforts and outline a future 3-year compliance plan.

Lauren has had extensive leadership experience on the Major Electronics Systems (ELEX) Real Property Enrollment for the U.S. Government. She contributed her real property enrollment expertise to help achieve the client’s goal in asserting existence and completeness over real property assets valued over $20,000 in order to achieve an unqualified audit opinion for Fiscal Year 2011. Lauren has also enhanced various technical skills in systems and applications such as Oracle, SharePoint, Excel, Visio, GoogleEarth, Project, and client-specific databases.Lauren supported the U.S. Government with an A-123 Appendix A assessment during testing and reporting phases. She assessed internal controls in the following process areas during the FY 2012 A-123 Appendix A Assessment; revenue and receivables, fund balance with treasury, and financial reporting. Lauren coordinated with the client, team members, and management to resolve issues when tested A-123 internal controls had significant process gaps. Additionally, she compiled a list of recommendations to be given to the client based on testing results for identified gaps and risk areas.Lauren assisted in evaluating the current state of a government contractor’s proposal process, with the ultimate goal of earning an approved estimating system, by interviewing key stakeholders involved in the proposal process and documenting observations. These observations were used to provide recommendations to enhance processes and strengthen policies and procedures.

Lauren worked with the Financial Management and Assurance team to plan the audit of the FDIC's Investments, Systemic Risk, Limited Liability Companies, Securitizations, and Operating Expenses sections for the 2010 Financial Report. She tested the Investments Section for Long-term and Overnight securities purchased by the FDIC for 1st and 2nd quarters.

Lauren evaluated and planned for future changes to the employee workforce for each department in the agency by attending team meetings and teleconferences with various departments to create flowcharts and documents based on input. In addition, she developed a planning process and aided with in-sourcing efforts to add civilian employee positions and reduce military employee positions.
