I have over 40 years of national environmental law experience. My practice is concentrated on environmental issues associated with corporate, real estate and brownfield transactions, commercial lending and securitizations , bankruptcy and workouts. I also have extensive experience with brownfield redevelopment and financing, including representing affordable housing developers . I have also represented clients in federal and state environmental litigation, enforcement actions, administrative proceedings and private cost recovery actions. I have written numerous articles on environmental law, am contributing author for several chapters of “ Brownfield Practice and Law: The Cleanup and Redevelopment of Contaminated Properties” and the “Environmental Law Practice Guide”, both published by Matthew Bender. I am also the author of “ Managing Environmental Liability in Transactions and Brownfield Redevelopment” published by JurisLaw Publishing . I am General Editor and author of several chapters of book published by ABA Business Law Publishing "Environmental Issues in Business Transactions". I am adjunct professor of environmental law at New York Law School where I teach "Brownfield Law and Policy" and 'Environmental Law and Policy" .I am a past chair of NYSBA Environmental Law Section; Co-chair of Brownfield Task Force of NYSBA Environmental Law Section, a vice-chair of the ABA Section of Business Law Committee on Environmental, Energy and Natural Resources Law as well as a past chair of Environment Committee of the ABA Business Law Section . I am also a emeritus board member of the Emeritus of the New York Brownfield Partnership and Brownfield Coalition of the Northeast.. I servered as the chair of the Brownfield Committee of the Environmental Business Association of New York from 2002-2008.I have also served as Chair of the legal sub-committee of the ASTM Task Group responsible for revising the the ASTM E1527 Phase 1 Standard in 2013 and 2021. Larry is listed in the New York Super Lawyers-Metro Edition (2010-2024); the Super Lawyers Business Edition (2011-24); The International Who’s Who of Environmental Lawyers (2008-2024) as well as appearing in Chambers USA Client Guide of America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.
