Hi. Thanks for stopping by. Allow me to introduce myself. Even as a small child, I loved telling stories and reveled in the written word. I always knew I wanted a career where I could put that passion to use, but it wasn’t always obvious to me what that might look like. Even when I got to college, I was like most freshman, still unsure of what I wanted to do when I grew up. So, like many in my position, I looked for a major that would give me a lot of options, and settled on business. Thanks to the help of some great mentors I met along the way, I discovered my talents could be useful in two ways.  One, in creating solid, actionable business strategies and explaining tough concepts to a wide audience in an easily understood and approachable way.Today, I’m lucky to say that I’ve gotten to spend the last decade in a job that is the perfect mix of both. As a marketing department of one for a company that delivers the tech tools and expertise SMB’s need to compete in today’s digital economy, there’s always a lot to do. Sure, I create and execute our marketing strategy. But at its heart, my role has always been about educating our clients, both current and future. No matter whether someone is just beginning their buying journey when they find us, they’ve been a client for years, or somewhere in between, I create content to help them find the answers they need.But as any marketer will tell you, this is only half the battle. Often the harder, yet more crucial task is making sure people can find your content when they need it. It’s like the adage says, “if a tree falls in the forest but no one is around to hear it, did it make a sound?“So, you can often find me creating newsletters, blogging on Intelligent Technologies Inc.’s website, the ERP software blog, the ERP cloud software blog, chatting with our social media audiences on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, working on our website, both adding new content and working hard to improve our SEO. While keeping all these balls in the air at once can sometimes be a challenge, one thing I love most about my job is no two days are ever the same. There is always something new to try and more to learn.
