I joined the Health & Social Care team at The Access Group in August 2022, where I am working as a Digital Content Writer focusing on healthcare content specifically.My role is to contribute content towards landing pages, blogs, educational resources, thought leadership pieces, and case studies - all with the aim of improving the user experience and helping The Access Group to attract more customers for its array of health and social care software solutions.

I have been casting an esports tournament called Base Invaders, set within the game 'RUST' since December 2020. I was promoted to Head Caster to manage and train the broadcast team in June 2021, and have maintained the role since.During my tenure we have promoted young, aspiring commentators to give them their first steps in the industry, as well as onboarded professional talent to act as mentors for our staff and given opportunities for women players to commentate a game that is heavily male-dominated.

My initial position was SEO Copywriter / Content Writer. It is still my job to generate content (in the form of information pages and for products) and to increase the company's web traffic.As part of my initial training at JQB I spent two months exclusively working as part of the Customer Service team, in order to better understand the services we provide and the products on offer. I still work with the C.S. team when necessary; processing orders, performing security checks, and taking online payments via SagePay. This helps in the busiest periods but also allows other colleagues time to participate in specialist training as and when required.

Working with French agency Carburant as an English-language specialist and a content writer, I created fresh email content for a marketing campaign with Riot Games and 'League of Legends'. This content focused on new or lapsed users within the player base, and was designed to engage them as part of the game's community and get them playing.

I was a Sub Editor for the Press Association in their Puzzles department, located in Bristol. I designed, edited, and proofed all manner of puzzles for national and regional publications. Typically this revolved around Adobe InDesign, but I also utilised Photoshop for graphics and image manipulations.A few of the publications to feature my work are the Daily Star, Daily Express, Daily Mail, Western Daily Press, Johnstone Press group, Metro, London Evening Standard, and shortly the Dublin Evening Herald.Outside of this position I was also a music reviewer for the Press Association's Entertainment team, having several pieces published across an array of news services.

I was a blog writer for the gaming / eSports company Team Dignitas, specifically writing based on my experience and knowledge of the fast rising online game 'League of Legends'. The blogs detailed guides on tactics and play styles, as well as explanations on in-game roles, playable champions and what to do with them, and items in-game.My experience with SEO content and digital marketing helped me tailor the articles to a wide audience of players, regardless of experience, as well as non-players. The blogs also have strong keyword content so that they stand out in searches allowing greater reach.Unfortunately, due to the nature of the game and the industry and due to my full time work commitments, I found myself lacking the required time to play more to then improve my own abilities and offer greater insight, which in turns limited future articles and a growth in quality. I was not providing an observation like a match report, rather I was educating my readers with game knowledge. This takes time, more than I had, so I regretfully brought an end to my writing with the organisation. I may return in the future depending on work commitments.

I was interviewed by a reporter for The Huffington Post in connection with my experience of mental illness. Following a strong bout of Gastritis I developed an anxiety disorder, which - without support - spread into other aspects of my life and was a serious problem for 5 years and still continues to linger in one aspect or another to this day.Following my interview I was asked if I would like to blog my story, and following the success of that I was given an account from which to post in future. Posts have been few and far between due to my other commitments to the Press Association and Team Dignitas, but in 2016 I hope to produce more content for the news outlet and expand more portfolio.

Blog Editor for 'The Danger Room' - a Mother's Basement presentation. Based in Stafford at the company HQ, the role requires content generation on subjects from TV & Film to Comics, Anime, Gaming, Tech... as well as attendance at relevant events and managing contributors. In addition I am the in-house photographer and I bear responsibility to manage all the contributors involved with the site.Edit: Rather disappointingly, this role ended prematurely due to financial difficulties on behalf of the parent company, Mother's Basement. It's greatly disappointing because the blog was to go independent of them and was making strong progress but the upside is I have even more experience now and in an area of writing I love.

Photo Centre technician. Tasks involved producing digital prints and 35mm film development to print or CD. Also operated on the lab till and was required to perform an array of machine maintenance, as well as balance that against the department's customer service expectations.

Unpaid contributions to Hi! Magazine, primarily focusing on music articles. Wrote a weekly segment called "You Probably Haven't Heard..." which offered up a mix of new music as well as a variety of genres, remixes, covers and music from years ago.

I worked as a coldcaller for a few weeks at a local double glazing firm. I had my suspicions over the legitimacy of the company and so quit, but I did gain valuable experience in dealing with customer hostility in a calm manner.

I was on work placement with my (now defunct) local newspaper, the Chase Post. After a discussion with editor Mike Lockley I was taken on for a few days as a trialist. I proved my ability and proceeded to work most of that summer to hone my writing skills, before returning over christmas for a university placement and landing the front page in my final week.
