I wrote a lot of code.Talent: I've hired, led and retained great talent, always looking for people smarter than I, who get things done. I believe in giving people direction and then removing obstacles from their path. I strive to create opportunities for learning, growth and new experiences.Software Development: I drove adoption of agile, test-driven development and CI/CD. There’s great safety and security in a solid battery of tests. Tests enable change.Infrastructure: I've done everything from racking servers to live-migrating whole systems to the cloud. I’ve networked many a thing and then separated those things with firewalls, gateways, VPNs, proxies, policies, and encryption, then added caching so my things wouldn’t be as bothered.Security: I've managed security, compliance, and SOC-2 audits. I enjoy learning about security and I tolerate compliance.Localization: I created and managed localization processes and technology at TrackAbout so we could serve customers in dozens of countries and languages.Databases: I’ve spent a lot of time in relational databases and a little in the other kinds.Away from work, you'll find me with my family, tinkering in my maker-shop, integrating new smart-home components, swinging kettlebells, or playing guitar.
