I am a chemist with a strong focus on physical and analytical chemistry, holding both a BSc and MSc in Chemistry from the University of Crete, Greece. My academic and professional journey has been diverse, allowing me to develop a broad skill set across various scientific disciplines.In my Bachelor’s thesis, I specialized in polymer chemistry, where I gained hands-on experience in organic and polymer synthesis, as well as polymer characterization. My Master’s thesis at FORTH (Heraklion, Crete, Greece) involved the innovative integration of spectroscopy with machine learning models and neural networks, specifically applied to cultural heritage studies.My passion for interdisciplinary research led me to complete two Erasmus+ internships. The first, at the University of Nottingham, allowed me to continue my research in polymer chemistry, while the second, at the University of Copenhagen, expanded my expertise in machine learning and its applications in physical sciences.After completing my mandatory military service, where I worked as a production chemist in an antifreeze recycling and production unit of the Hellenic Army, I transitioned from academia to industry. I am currently a Chemical Lab Analyst at Pharmathen S.A., where I contribute to the Quality Control department.My journey on places and fields throughout my career, have strengthened my abilities in innovation, collaboration, and attention to detail. I am curious, quick to learn, and adaptable, both in my professional and personal life. Thus, I am excited to collaborate with other innovative professionals and continue expanding my knowledge and expertise.
