The coolest thing about winning this scholarship is that I was a first generation college student who paid 100% of my undergrad. I had never applied for a single scholarship so when I decided to apply for scholarships for my master's, I found this -- the biggest (big daddy) scholarship I had found in all my research. And I went for it. AND I GOT IT!! I am forever grateful to the Rotary Foundation for an amazing life-changing experience! They believed in me and it enabled me to believe in myself in even bigger ways! -
