Hi there!I am a highly versatile professional, having achieved a Commendation in the field of Geophysics at the Master's level, I have gone on to work in a highly rewarding career in the energy sector, as well as the Scottish Care Sector.My experience includes a whole spectrum of activities, ranging from involvement in the HR team, Proposals Preparation, Technical Report writing, Project Management - both operationally and financially (covering invoicing and payroll), Website Design and Development, Software Programming, SharePoint Design and Implementation, Azure AD Management, IT Infrastructure Design and Implementation, 1st Line Technical Support for IT-related Issues, Management of Suppliers, and much more besides.I consider myself to be an adept coder, knowing several languages, including: Microsoft PowerShell, Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications, Unix for Linux, Python, MATLAB and have recently been learning JavaScript for developing Physics engines as a hobby (I would heartily recommend the YouTube channel: TheCodingTrain for this).In my journey in developing myself as a Jack-of-all-Trades, Master-of-None professional, I have also developed a suite of templates, designed for bespoke usage by my employer, and have performed business analyses, which have collectively saved my employer hundreds of thousands of pounds, if not more, since I joined the company - something I take great pride in, in my never-ending journey for increased efficiency.I am a workaholic, self-confessed, and I do define myself by the standard of my work (I'm the kind of person that finds annual leave somewhat of a nuisance), however, on the rare occasion I let my hair down, I enjoy listening to a range of music that many would find a bit odd - Edith Piaf and Rammstein feature in the same playlist, for example. I also enjoy travelling (so long as there is a good bar and a good beach at the end of it) and reading. My real love though, is tinkering with things - be it code or something physical. I thoroughly love building or repairing things and look forward to owning a fully operational workshop, which I can lock myself away in for a weekend - inspired by a certain Adam Savage of Mythbusters fame...I like to be and feel useful, so I'm always searching for a new challenge that will benefit everyone around me, and occasionally, will benefit me, also.Thank you for reading, if you're still here, if not then cheers anyway!
