Researches, designs, develops, and tests a variety of electronic equipment, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; and advanced test equipment based on theory of operations. Performs complex technical functions such as set up, operations, logistics, asset management, maintenance, modification and troubleshooting of electronic and electro-mechanical systems, and specialized test equipment to support engineering activities. Maintains and repairs a variety of electronics and electrical-mechanical equipment: communications-electronics, computer systems CMWS independent data recorder (CIDR), sensor systems (Baringa), data communications, calibration, and maintenance of workstations to include the hot mock up (HMU). Performs inspections of systems using advanced testing and troubleshooting of systems maintaining a turnaround time (TAT) of 24 hours. Applies advanced testing procedures based on robotics training. Performs tests and diagnosis on rotary and fixed wing systems, tests written procedures from the manufacturer to obtain root cause analysis. Conducts detailed experimental testing to collect pertinent data to assist in general research work with basic shell (BASH) commands. Constructs, monitors, adjusts, calibrates, maintains and/or repairs equipment, instruments, and fixtures. Prepares materials, components and assemblies for evaluation and recommends modifications as required. Writes, interprets blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and product documentation. Prepares reports, charts, graphs for scientific or engineering personnel to use in making decisions on design or experiment development using the DMIAC model. Assists in the development of process control manuals/documentation for repairing, calibration and maintaining equipment for quality deficiency reports (QDR).

CVD Fab tech is responsible for performing activities involved with the recovery of CVD tools from PM including qualifications. Technicians will perform preventative maintenance on CVD equipment and recovery equipment faults. Daily equipment process and equipment trend monitoring will be required, as is responding to interlocks in a timely manner. Documenting / communicating material from tool interruptions to process team to ensure the material is measured and disposition correctly. Technician will interact with shift supervisor in scheduling PMs, delivering ETAs for tool recovery, Documenting/following standard operating procedures during PM execution is required. High energy with a focus on Quality and details is required. The squad leader or platoon sergeant serves as the first line supervisor to the Soldier and the link to Command. The SL/PSG is responsible for facilitating the resolution of administrative issues and helps guide the Soldier through the WTU process, while enforcing military standards. Download the Squad Leader fact sheet for more information. Specific responsibilities include: Tracking the completion of the Soldiers’ transition goals established during the CTP Scrimmage. Having daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly CTP progress counseling with their Soldiers to determine status of transition progress. Tracking a Soldier’s accountability by using standard reporting requirements (automated CTP (aCTP) dashboard, manual CTP data calls, Medical Operational Data System (MODS), etc). De-conflicting Soldier’s appointments schedule and ensuring he/she has the information needed to succeed in his/her individual CTP. Ensuring that the Soldier completes no less than five hours of adaptive reconditioning activities per week. Ensuring Soldiers attend all formations conducted by the company, platoon, or squad (only exceptions are those Soldiers who have “no formation” annotated on their profile DA 3349 or who have approval not to attend from their chain of command prior to formation). Ensuring Soldiers are at their assigned place of duty for the week and contacting each work site supervisor monthly to assess the Soldier’s work performance and participation. Escorting each new WTU Soldier and his/her Family to the Soldier and Family Assistance Center (SFAC) within the first 30 days of arrival at a WTU. Counseling Soldiers on their performance, reviewing the aCTP Self-Assessment, discussing Community Care Unit (CCU) eligibility (if appropriate) and documenting the counseling on a development counseling form.
