As a Logistics Account Executive for Latin Metals SAS, I was responsible for coordinating all transportation of our contracted material from suppliers in United States and Latin America, to multiple clients across the globe.It was my duty to keep in constant communication with suppliers, trucking companies, freight forwarders, Shipping lines, customs agents, and most importantly, clients to not only inform on the status of the shipments, but also to solve any unforeseen problems that might have occured throughout the day.It was also my responsibility to not only track all the shipments (60+ containers daily) that had sailed to the client, but also ensure that all the necessary paperwork was properly filed depending on each countries' laws and regulations.During my time with Latin Metals, I was able to fully understand how marine transportation works globally, and how important time management and organizational skills are in the logistics industry.
