H&T Recharge manufacturers the battery cans used by Panasonic Energy North America to supply Tesla with the batteries used in the Model 3 and the Tesla Power Wall. As H&T Recharge,Nevada’s IT Manager, I have returned stability and confidence in the IT Infrastructure that had been missing and have provided critical support in the implementation of the new SAP Public Cloud solution.

Designed and implemented a 100% cloud-based IT infrastructure using Microsoft Office 365 for Application Support and Google Cloud Platform/Amazon Web Services for all development environmental needs allowing all employees to work remotely.• Manage IT Operations: Work with all stakeholders to assure systems are maintained and operational with goal of 99.999% uptime.• Remote Based Workforce: Created all IT Policy and Procedures around the corporate culture of a predominately work from home remote access drive workforce. • Built for Expansion: The entire operation has been designed and built around the idea of tremendous growth and agility to scale. The projections were for MCC to employ over 1,000 staff by the end of 2023. All systems currently being used were researched, selected and implemented with this in mind.• Direct support of Software Development: Provided all needed support to the company’s CTO to help define the needs of custom solutions as well as provide details on 3rd party solutions to allow for testing of required interfaces to meet the needs of the innovative software solution.• Defined hardware and established budget: Selected a standard workstation setup for employees giving them the option to use Windows or Macintosh based hardware. Defined purchase procedures to allow for equipment procurement, configuration and final delivery to new hires so they were in position of needed workstations on start date.• Selected Voice over IP Phone Solution: Did extensive research and cost analysis to select the best VoIP as a Service phone solution to establish a uniform corporate image. Prior to this, staff were using cellphones with a wide range of area codes which created confusion as to who MCC is.• Successful Migration for GCP to AWS: Led the effort to migrate all development work including QA testing and Demo environments from GCP to AWS in preparation for pursuing FedRAMP Authorization so the company could secure a government contract.

Led 4-member IT team (Network Admin, Desktop Support, EMR Specialist, Dental System Specialist) to maintain and support all organization technology for one of 3 northern Nevada federally qualified health centers providing service to 39K patients annually. Developed and controlled operating and project budgets of $1M annually. Reported to CEO and CFO.TOP 10 RATING FEDERAL HEALTH CENTERS: Based on overhead, patient numbers, and outcomes, organization officially rated in the top 10% of national health centers in cost effectiveness and top 5% in production volumes for size.COMPLIANCE: Acted as HIPAA Security Officer to ensure PCI and infrastructure security for HIPAA-compliant, HITRUST-certified medical and dental EMR systems.GRANT FUNDING SUPPORT: Key contributor in sourcing/securing special grant funding with amounts up to $2M. Took charge of locating and winning grants specific to nonprofit technology grants.CISCO GRANT / NETWORK REFRESH: Submitted grant request to Cisco in 2015 to refresh networking switches and VoIP Solution Servers. Received $125K.NETWORK STABILIZATION: Identified new server location and replaced MPLS with SD-WAN. In hands-on role, led 2 team members to relocate 16 blades running 45 physical and virtual servers in 18-hour move. Stabilized network, reduced power outages from 2-3 per quarter to zero, increased bandwidth, and lowered telco costs $30K annually. NEW LOCATION LAUNCHES: Led technology infrastructure installs to support 6 new sites, including coordination with construction teams for brand-new offices. Despite changes in construction schedules, infrastructure was always ready for first occupancy.MERGER SUPPORT: Expanded network infrastructure to migrate 75 merged employees, doubling size of company.

Created company-first IT department to support 55 employees with budget up to $15M. Expanded capacity as needed and planned for future growth and adoption of solutions as technology costs became justifiable. Reported to CFO/CEO. Network Improvement / Cost Reductions: Identified areas for infrastructure improvement and services delivery and initiated projects driving 300% improvement in connectivity and saving telecom expenses of $30K per year. Printer Consolidation: Consolidated individual desktop printers and replaced them with multi-function copier/fax/printer units, increasing productivity, savings from eliminating ink and toner covered the annual costs of the new equipment lease. Billing Correction & Collection: Uncovered/investigated negative shift in receivables/collections rates and discovered data was not being scrubbed prior to submission leading to claim denials and rejections for simple reasons. Took action to reprocess/resubmit invoices and collected additional $250K in 4 weeks. Cisco-First Community Philanthropy Grant / Phone System: Identified available grant, authored request, and won first Cisco Community Philanthropy Grant for $250K to update/replace server hardware. Developed MS Excel spreadsheet for grant reporting – which Cisco adopted as template for all following grantees. EMR System Implementation: Led RFP phase and project managed implementation of EMR system to replace paper charting. Located used hardware and storage at 30% cost of new, built infrastructure and implemented system; acted as primary support person for first year. Saved organization $100K in initial deployment.

Managed company network within 8 facilities and provided support to end users. Maintained/upgraded all servers, desktops, and networks and rolled out software packages. Created customized reports on all data applications. Managed $1.5M annual operating budget. Vendor Board of Users Group: After selecting/installing new accounting software, requested by vendor to serve on Board of Users Group for the product.

Supported Novel Network for 25 staff members within the BHPS. Established organization-first intranet site, led conversion of paper records for state’s private water systems to electronic format, and championed/designed/implemented new database to maintain certification tracking for Bureau’s radiological inspection equipment.
