Call-to-Mind is a unique Board Game to help communication especially for people living with dementia. It identifies interests, helps plan activities, improves relationships and is fun! It gives people with dementia a voice and gives family and carers ideas and understanding. Much of my time is therefore spent demonstrating what a difference playing this game can make to people's lives. Prof Gill Livingstone and her team at University College London researched then trialled this in many care homes to great success. It was shortlisted for “Dementia product of the year”. The second edition is now available from my website: www.call-to-mind.com.My other interests include spending time with our large family, gardening, painting and yoga. Married to Julian who is a minister of the United Reformed Church means Sunday mornings we are at St John’s in New Barnet. We have a huge garden at the manse to indulge our love of gardening and helps keep us fit. It’s also a great place to hold big family gatherings. My new recent love is life-drawing and painting in oil. Having studied fine art many years ago, it’s been a total joy to return to physical canvas and brushes after designing in PhotoShop.
