In this volunteer role to compliment my full-time work at Harvard Extension School, I collaborated with the Senior Associate Dean of Student Affairs at Harvard, faculty, and the other domestic and International HES ambassadors to help build our student communities. My service included planning and hosting events for students, primarily in the Southwest United States. The events provided opportunities for students to connect with the larger Harvard community, broaden their student experiences, socialize and network.

One of the best years of my life! I took my reading and writing expertise and applied it to helping a dozen kids with learning disabilities at this academic intensive, college prep school -- ranked as one of the best charter high schools in Utah. One of the richest moments of my life was seeing the struggling senior on my case load walk through commencements. Also, the staff at City Academy -- all of them, are some of the finest, most passionate and dedicated people you will ever find on this planet. They wrote the book on team work.
