BI & ANALYTICS PROGRAM MANAGER: Responsible for the design, implementation and governance of Supply Chain Operations BI & Analytics platform. Strategic focus on simplifying information discovery and analysis and empowering decision makers through intelligent use of enterprise data. This project leveraged the Microsoft BI platform (SQL, SharePoint, Excel) for information management, collaboration and delivery. In the first production year this solution-set delivered $550K / 8 FTE in annualized productivity gain for the Supply Chain planning community. Building centralized, accessible, in-memory data models was key to success. The stakeholders defined and owned data definitions, formulas, aggregations. SCO-BI built the in-memory data model and enabled multiple access points to accommodate various stakeholders (Executive, Analyst, Information Producer and Consumer). SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS SERVICE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM MANAGER: Designed and implemented an ITIL-based, tool-enabled service management strategy for Supply Chain Operations BI & Analytics team. This initiative aligned a BI team of analysts, developers and external contractors with the department’s business strategy. Service Management expectations were maintained in a collaborative wiki. A Configuration Management Database (CMDB) catalogued hardware, software and product resources. Formal Change Control Boards were established for each SCO organization as well as a governing, strategic body. The web-based “SCO Help Desk” tracked all customer Change Requests through a complete lifecycle (initiation to resolution). Help Desk dashboards enabled transparency and collaboration for individual, team and project support initiatives. Recurring training activity empowered a BI “Center of Excellence”.

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE PROGRAM MANAGER: Lead Architect and Program Manager for global data warehouse solution utilizing SQL 2005 Integration (ETL), Analysis, and Reporting Services. The initial architecture was designed and deployed using SQL 2000 technologies, then upgraded to SQL 2005 three years later. This system was used by Sales, Marketing, Finance and Executive staff for critical business data analysis. Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server was employed as the front-end access point for collaboration, Excel-based Pivots / Visualizations and SQL Reporting Services reports. CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (CRM) PROJECT MANAGER: Project Manager / Senior Developer for enterprise Microsoft CRM implementation supporting Global Sales and Marketing divisions (250 end-users). Managed project scope, budget and development through four major releases including a broad customization which enhanced existing functionality by means of a sales forecast module, advanced visualization / reporting solution and Microsoft Axapta integration.

I.T. DEVELOPMENT MANAGER: Led team of eight developers through two major phases of enterprise software design, development and support. This is the foundational architecture by which the company systematically searches state Medicaid databases to locate eligible Medicaid and SSI accounts. Built on a .NET framework, this technology recovered over $255 million in total hospital charges for e-Scan customers in the first eighteen months of implementation. CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT / REPORTING SYSTEM: Lead Developer for internal customer management and reporting application. This intranet portal was used by production staff to generate Medicaid eligibility reports in both Adobe Acrobat PDF and Microsoft Excel format for distribution to over fifty clients across five states. Client contracts were also managed from this application, the details of which affected business rules applied to distributed reports.

ADVANCED MICRO DEVICES (AMD) MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING SYSTEM SUPPORT: Senior Developer for in-house system configuration and inventory management application allowing computer systems and components to be predefined in standard configurations. All aspects of the manufacturing process were tracked such that inventory management and customer support could be provided. SCHLUMBERGER DISTRIBUTED NETWORKED “RITE” REPLICATOR: Senior Developer (Phase I) / Lead Developer (Phase II) / Project Manager (Phase III) on FoxPro-to-Oracle replication utility. Co-designed a robust data replication process over IP to consolidate disparate FoxPro data sources over 72 North American Locations into a single Oracle database. The application was developed as a client/server COM+ application to replicate geographically distributed FoxPro tables bi-directionally over the company network.

NIMITZ COMMAND INTRANET: Project Manager / Lead Developer for ten-thousand-page command Intranet supporting 650 workstations, 15 dial-in sites and 3,000 personnel across a Metropolitan Area Network. Technical Consultant to senior management. Coordinated all phases of design, scope and implementation. Chief Consultant and Training Supervisor for departmental Webmasters. Mentored junior staff members, successfully transitioning many to private-sector careers. The command intranet was recognized for streamlining the way business was transacted onboard and became a model Intranet for other Navy commands. FLEET MARINE FORCE PC/NETWORK SUPPORT: Served key leadership role within unit that implemented the first local area network (LAN) for fleet Marines at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Developed fundamental Computer Science skills while maintaining over 300 PCs across a Banyan Vines network. Awarded two meritorious promotions, thirteen medals and/or ribbons and a letter of commendation during four years honorable service.
