At different times during his career he has successfully led infantry soldiers, electronic warfare specialists, engineers, and cyber operators, as well as teams comprised of government and private sector civilians. Solutions created under his direction positively impacted challenging issues for the military and include: improving the security of critical Iraqi oil infrastructure, developing and implementing the Army’s training program to counter the threat of the continually evolving improvised explosive devices, creating the concept and requirement for the Army’s electronic warfare capability, and developing approaches to countering adversaries on social platforms.When Tom is not leading teams professionally, he’s usually motivating and leading teams of friends and family in Tough Mudder competitions. He also enjoys coaching youth soccer which allows him to develop and mentor the next generation of leaders.
