Research under the FCT Project D4 - Deep Drug Discovery and Deployment Integrated PhD Student at the Laboratory of Artificial Neural Networks (LARN) of CISUC, the Centre forInformatics and Systems of University of Coimbra under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Joel Arrais and Prof. Dr. Bernardete Ribeiro.The project includes the application of deep artificial intelligence (AI) methods to optimize the process of drug discovery and development using few-shot learning (FSL), meta-learning, Transformers and graph neural networks (GNNs).This research has been funded by the Portuguese Research Agency FCT, through D4 - Deep Drug Discovery and Deployment (CENTRO-01-0145-FEDER-029266).

Statistics & Decision Sciences (SDS) internship supervised by Janssen staff based in Beerse (BE) and Prague (CZ), in particular, the associate director of the Manufacturing and Applied Statistics (MAS) group, Martin Otava. The main project was focused on the application of BERT deep learning models within the context of large chemical databases used in drug discovery. In addition, I also provided statistical services including analysis, interpretation, design, and reporting or communication of data evidence for research, development, and marketed product needs in Janssen:▪ Experimental design, modelling, analysis planning, analysis execution, interpretation and statistical communication support;▪ Reporting activities, exploratory analyses/graphics, and additional analyses to support individual clinical trials/studies/projects;▪ Data preparation and exploration, model building and analysis, report writing, statistical design of experiments (DoE).
