Provided in-house general counsel on complex legal issues and strategic directions; managed outside law firms and accounting firms on venture financing and international tax planning; closed $20 million Series C financing (participated by Intel Capital) in preparation for an IPO; handled thousands of commercial contracts and licenses with hundreds of customers such as Dell, HP, Lenovo, Motorola, Nokia, Microsoft, Intel, Qualcomm, and Broadcom; prosecuted and managed a portfolio of hundreds of U.S. and foreign patents, trademarks, and pending applications; sent cease and desist letters and stopped infringement of company trademarks and copyrights; drafted EULA, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy for company's websites and cloud-enabled apps that have a SaaS component; successfully settled disputes saving the company millions of dollars in potential damages and legal fees while minimizing interruptions in business operations; recovered over half a million dollars in unpaid royalties through AAA arbitration without involving any outside counsel.
