I investigated exoskeleton requirements for firefighters. I utilized a model-based systems engineering (MBSE) approach to identify use cases and firefighter requirements for the concept. I also educated graduate students in project management and statistics.

I educated undergraduates, including courses in Elements of Commerce, Economics of Innovation, Intermediate Microeconomics, Principles of Economics, and Risk and Uncertainty. I also conducted research on the topic of innovations and policies that aid or hinder innovation. I taught at the school at two different periods, 2011-2012 and 2015-2018.

I researched and specified system requirements for real-time fault-tolerant network telecommunication SQL databases. I spearheaded business development including one that directly resulted in an $800M three-year contract. I also consulted with client/partner to define requirements, researched, and wrote white papers. I prepared responses for proposals (RFP) from various groups or entities. I led teams of 10-15 engineers and coded/verified software in C, SQL, and Visual Basic. Delivered in-person and remote life cycle support and trained customers and peers.I utilized GPSS to model queuing performance for migrated high-traffic databases. I also developed reliability estimates and recommended changes to the structure of distributed components.I engaged in SS7 signaling and IP routing messages, which was part of the Intelligent Network. I used inventive tools such as the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ), scenario planning, and Porter's Five Forces modeling.I also Incorporated Chi-squared distribution concepts to design metrics to evaluate software stability. I applied Markov models and Software Reliability Engineering (SRE) techniques to determine system reliability.In addition, I prepared and taught customers and co-workers on various technical subjects in classes lasting two or three weeks. The topics included proprietary products and software tools, emerging technologies, and productivity skills.

I taught principles, microeconomic theory, econometrics (graduate and undergraduate), managerial economics, mathematical economics (graduate and undergraduate), capstone seminar in economics, first-year studies, interdisciplinary course on women and economics. Served as undeclared major advisor. Designed banners for graduation.
