PROJECTS1. Clock Bean : Implemented a Clock Bean which could display time in either analog or digital form using Java GUI. The clock is implemented using double-buffering technique. The ratios between GUI elements are maintained while the clock is resized.2. Remote Calculator using CORBA and RMI: Implemented a calculator server and a client agent using Java IDL and RMI. Created a Java GUI calculator interface on client side for user inputs. Employed the infix algorithm for calculation on the server side.3. Book database using JDBC and SQL: Designed and created a database to store book information using SQL. Initialized the database tables using JDBC and XML. Implemented a client Java program to query, edit and update the database using JDBC.4. Book ordering and database querying using Servlet and JSP: Created a book ordering server using Servlets. Built a web application to query and update the book database using JSP.5. Simplified Domain Location System (DLS): Implemented a server and a client program using C sockets to register address/geolocation pairs, to get the location from an address and to get the closest address from a location.6. Viterbi decoder: Implemented the algorithm for error-correcting Viterbi decoder in Java. Performeddecoding of convolutional codes generated from two XOR channels with various constraint lengths.7. Fuzzy-logic controlled wireless sensor network (WSN): Designed a fuzzy-logic feed-back system to dynamically control sensor communication range in WSN and implemented the program in Java. Simulated a 30-sensor WSN system and achieved 95% increase in packet transmission over a static system.8. Simplified OpenStack Object Storage: Designed and implemented a distributed storage system with consistent hashing in Java. Enabled scalable, flexible, manageable and consistent storing and retrieving of files.
