I lived in Taipei (Taiwan), where I worked at Smartmatic, in partnership with ICTS Group from Brazil, being part of the Hardware Development Team.In this role, I was responsible for the development of a microcontrolled AC/DC Power Supply (PSU) of 150W for a ballot machine.Main activities:• Understanding of the client's requirements and translating their technical documents from Portuguese to English.• Schematic and Layout of PCB in Altium.• Creation of component libraries, including symbols, footprints and 3D models.• Understanding and designing the PCB board shape based on the mechanical requirements.• BOM generation.• Gerber files generation.• Contact with suppliers.• Cost reduction for existing projects.• Debugging/tests of prototypes, including Hardware and Firmware.• Traveling constantly to support the team in contact with the client.Design of the project:• AC/DC converters.• DC/DC Buck and Buck/Boost regulators.• Microntroller PIC32 with i2c interface, USB interface, A/D converter and I/O.• Path control priority circuit to switch between AC/DC converter and batteries as the input to generate the outputs.• Battery charger.• Gas gauge for accurate voltage and current battery monitoring.• Hot swap mosfets for the outputs.
