Full-Stack Developer - HoorTech ProjectIn the second half of 2024, I worked as a Full-Stack Developer on the HoorTech project, an innovative web platform aimed at improving social inclusion for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. This project not only challenged my technical skills but also provided a valuable opportunity for personal growth and team collaboration.My main contributions included:Designing the application with a focus on user-friendly and accessible interfaces.Building interactive components using React.js, ensuring smooth and efficient navigation.Integrating AI, training models with an image dataset to enable real-time sign language (Libras) translation to text.Real-time communication between front-end and back-end via WebSocket for seamless data exchange.Deploying the application, handling the platform’s release and production environment setup.Bug fixing across both front-end and back-end to ensure stability and performance.This project addresses a key gap in the market by providing accurate, real-time sign language translation for platforms like Google Meet and Zoom, making communication more inclusive.Beyond the technical skills, the project was incredibly rewarding in terms of the relationships built within the team. Working closely with professionals from various fields helped me grow both personally and professionally, improving my ability to collaborate and solve problems together.
