I am a software developer from Brazil with a passion on code architecture. I began my studies in 2018 at the university, where I first learned programming using Python. I am particularly interested in design patterns and software architecture, and I enjoy applying these concepts in my work. I also participated in several programming competitions during my time at the university which helped me to develop my skills and increase my passion for programming. At WEX, I’m a Software Developer Engineer 3, where I’m responsible to create and maintain and code review a company monolith system. The monolith is an open loop payment processing platform built from the ground up by an agile team. This is a challenging application as it’s a huge app created around 2014, movements huge amount of money and data daily and requires extremely low response time. My daily job also includes participating in product meetings and refining user stories for the team. As WEX is a multinational company I constantly have participate in meetings in English, which helped me develop my language skills. Some technologies I’ve worked with:- Kafka for messaging and event-driven architecture- SQS for internal async jobs- Golang as the backend language- MongoDB as the primary database
